A Grand Festival of 4.5 billion Asians, Citizen-Supporters Starting Ceremony for Incheon AG

There were special events for wishing successful holding of Asian games in Incheon Soccer-specific stadium on August 9th that it just left 70days until 2014 Incheon Asian Para Games and 41days until 2014 Incheon Asian Games. It was 17th Starting Ceremony of Citizen-supporters for Incheon Asian Games and Para Asian Games which is a grand festival of 4.5 billion Asians that hosted by Incheon city, and run by Incheon Sarang Movement Advisory Council. 

70,000 people of 3 million Incheon citizens are participating as Citizen-supporters and 30,000 supporters of them took part in Starting ceremony. In ceremony, there were Incheon mayor Yoo Jeong-bok, Incheon municipal assembly, Chairman of Incheon Asian Games organizing committee and chairman of Incheon Para Asian Games to promote resolution by stepping forward for success of Incheon Asian Games.

The festival went on for 3 hours from flash mob by Citizen-supporters and Youth-supporters in early afternoon before main event to fireworks at 9:30. It was event for cheering efforts of supporters beforehand in place of Asian Games. We are expecting their great supporting activity owing by energy of ceremony day.  

After we were decided to host 2014 Incheon Asian Games by defeating New Delhi in Kuwait, we started last countdown through this Starting Ceremony after lots of preparation such as building stadium and supplementing facilities.

 

Cheering Red Towel is waiting for 70,000 Citizen-supporters. Moreover, supporters who participate in starting ceremony will get uniforms that they will wear during Asian Games and probably it will make them work hard with a sense of duty. 

The whole view of Incheon Soccer-specific stadium that most of people has entered. We can meet people are exciting in festival before they enter to stadium.

During Asian Games and Para Asian Games period Citizen-supporters and Youth-supporters will act in variety area such as supporting welcoming member country, torch-bearer, athlete’s village welcoming events and cheering in stadium. 

Before the main events start, event-before-ceremony is held in stadium. Youth supporters look busy that they were preparing something. In addition, most of audiences put towel that they got in the entrance around neck and they are enjoying cheerleaders’ happy performances.

 

There is blue sky up the soccer-specific stadium which is full of green grass. It looks like that nature also cheers coming success of Incheon Asian Games.

The cheering is starting under the sky. A national cheerleader team “PamPam”’s impressive and dynamic performance led audiences’ fervent supports and audiences reveal owner spirit as supporters of festival.

After 30 minute-event, the supporters starting ceremony was notified. 

Starting ceremony was started with shouting of citizen-supporters and admission of Incheon mayor Yoo Jeong-bok, Chairmen of organizing committee, and the president of Incheon assembly. 

2014 Incheon Asian Games is festival of 45countries and 13000 Asians and North Korea which was uncertain to take part in will participate. This event will be opportunity for economic development which will rise into 12 trillion, increasing value of brand as international city, and contributing to national integrated sports development.

Incheon Mayor Yoo Jeong-bok said he thinks this Asian Games will be opportunity of new take-off and development of Incheon through words of encouragement. Therefore, he required citizens’ interests and participations to increase value of stadium operation and comfortable facilities and make new history of hope.

 

Next, everyone who has interested in Incheon Asian Games can participate in the Smart torch Delivery ceremony. For reference, torch of Icheon Asian Games started color and carry in New Delhi National Stadium on 9th, so it will arrive Korea on 13th morning through Incheon Port. Moreover, national torch will color in Chamseongdan Altar, Mountain Mirae, Gwanghwa on August, 13th and fit in Mirae square in front of Incheon city hall on 3 pm. And sacred-torch relay will pass 17 cities and provinces from September 19th to 29th, so these supporters will participate in sacred-torch relay.

Next, main event was finished with celebration message by president Geun-hye Park. She wanted us to show real worth to foreign tourists.

Before opening of Asian Games, this unified time between supporters who are going to make competition together was time to enjoy, feel happy and promise for not only audiences but also everyone who visit stadium.

Starting ceremony finished with oath of 2 representatives from male and female.

We will prioritize safety for opening Asian Games. We will help athletes to show their best ability. We will play a leading role for going forward to advanced city. The oath was just 3 sentences but it shows what we have to do exactly.

And when they shout and do flash mob ‘Welcome to Incheon’, we can peep in to their mind that we can expect successful opening.

2014 Incheon Asian Games Opening Cerempony will start on September 19th, 6 pm. Festival of 4.5 billion Asians, Let’s enjoy together. 

The dance and song raise the temperature of supporters who shows sharing citizenship. It was “Afterschool” who made fancy performance. Now, let’s enjoy together. Let’s fell into exciting performances. It was day to cheer citizen-supporters so you have to enjoy it, because it is festival for supporters.

After Afterschool’s performance, there was exciting fusion percussion “Hanul Sori”’s performance. Percussion is hot that shows supporters’ future movement and it is fit with festival.

Starting ceremony was full of preparation. Audiences were pitched when each singer comes out.

The form of cheering, enjoying is different but their minds will be connected to one. They will spread today’s excitement and cheering in Incheon Asian Games which left 40 days.

 

After “Hyungdon & Daejun”, there is mini concert of YB who is last guest of this starting ceremony. Yoon Dohyun who fits well with festival, and emits energy in international game will be together with Incheon Asian Games.

On September 19th, Incheon Asian Games started big run of 16 days in 49 staduims including Incheon Asia Main Stadium, Munhak Stadium, Munhwan Park Taehwan Swimming Pool and here Incheon Soccer-specific Stadium. For smooth functioning of Games we need lots of volunteer in and out of stadium, so 70,000 citizen-supporters have to play big role.

Therefore, today’s powerful first step looks like priming for Incheon Asian Games and Para Asian Games’ successful opening.
